Thursday 24th NovemberThe Cube Microplex, BristolSilent Night Presents 'Hypnosis'War Against Sleep performs a spellbinding soundtrack to 'The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari' - the first modern horror film from 1919 and a expressionist classic. At an other-worldly fair an evil hypnotist delivers a fatal prophecy. A chilling and enchanting masterpiece.Loxodonta's music is inspired by specific stories and historical events, using a multitude of keyboards to produce mesmerising drones and loops. He will be providing a soundrack for 'Photographic Studies in Hypnosis', a 1940s documentary in which a young woman is given ultra-bizarre suggestions under trance.'Silent Night' is an ongoing project organised by Duncan Fleming which has taken place in various venues in Bristol and Bath (Ashton Court Festival, Bath Fringe Festival etc.), and more recently in collaboration with Cube Microplex.
